24 may 2026 · Discovery build of Izzet spellslinger around Rootha, Mastering the Moment. Concept: cast a big instant or sorcery every turn to summon an X/X flying-haste Elemental at combat, where X equals the largest MV played that turn. Evacuation (mana value 5) or Stroke of Genius for {X}=8 turn Rootha into a per-turn giant-threat generator. Reactive play style, lots of card draw and counters. Weaknesses: few threats outside tokens, vulnerable to artifact stax that shuts cantrips down.

24 may 2026 · Bracket 3 evolution of the budget build. Cleaned-up manabase with Steam Vents and Izzet duals (Sulfur Falls, Spirebluff Canal), Rhystic Study and Mystic Remora for stax-flavored draw, Mizzix's Mastery as a finisher that replays every spell from the graveyard with overload for a huge X-Elemental, and Aetherflux Reservoir as an alternative wincon via Storm-Kiln Artist tempo. Main combo: double Time Warp through Increasing Vengeance + Aetherflux to close on turn 6–7. Weaknesses: still vulnerable to counters on key pieces and to stax cards like Drannith Magistrate.1 / 2
